Here’s a photo of the combine fully painted and ready for the decals. I didn’t realize until I did this car what a nice looking paint scheme the New York Central two-tone gray was.
Obviously, the next step will be adding the decals to the shell. That will be a somewhat tedious task, since it has to be done letter by letter. Don’t touch that dial!
I do have to add a note of appreciation to my stories of the renovation of these two very old cars. First, my wife, Cathy, took all the photographs. Secondly, the Central Valley trucks on both cars were courtesy of Bob Pierce. Many thanks to both.
